Hi, I’m Aislinn Clancy — your Member of Provincial Parliament for Kitchener Centre and Deputy Leader of the Green Party of Ontario.

I was first elected in the 2023 by-election, becoming only the second Green MPP in Ontario’s history. I hold a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Before stepping into provincial politics, I worked for over a decade supporting newcomers as a refugee resettlement worker and later served as a school social worker with the Waterloo Catholic District School Board. My journey into political life started when I volunteered with Citizens’ Climate Lobby, which sparked my belief that policy change is one of the most powerful tools we have to make a difference.

In 2022, I was elected as the City Councillor for Ward 10 in Kitchener. Now, as your MPP, I bring that grassroots experience with me to Queen’s Park, where I continue to fight for affordable housing, bold climate action, stronger mental health care, and accessible public services for all.

I’m here to listen, learn, and stand up for our community—because the best ideas come from the ground up.
